EDGAR & XBRL

EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering Analysis and Retrieval)

The Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) requires that almost all financial documents submitted to them for filing be in EDGAR format. Filings must be prepared according to EDGAR specifications for tagging and transmission parameters.

Command has the knowledge and experience that only comes after years of successful and timely SEC filings. Our EDGAR staff Edgarizes your documents from typeset and word-processing documents, as well as from hard copy, in either ASCII or HTML format, and works with you to generate valid, SEC-compliant XBRL documents. Quality control and error-checking procedures assure the integrity of your filing prior to electronic transmission to the SEC.

As EDGAR requirements evolve, and the EDGAR system itself is replaced by the IDEA (Interactive Data Electronic Applications) system, you can count on Command to service all of your EDGAR/IDEA needs and guide you through the process, because SEC filings are our business.

EDGAR Templates

To help you get through some of the more common EDGAR filings, we have provided links to some form and schedule templates for you to use in setting up your EDGAR files. Whether you wish to download them and incorporate them into what you send back to us, print them out and mark them up for us to service, or use them to help you do your own EDGAR filings, they are there to make your job a little easier.
