NEW YORK (August, 1 2005)—Command Financial Press, the nation’s largest independent financial printer, today announced the appointment of Pete McCabe as Vice President, Investment Company Services. The announcement was made by James Penders, President of Command Financial Press.
Mr. McCabe, a fund administration professional with extensive experience in the investment company industry, will be responsible for the development and marketing of the shareholder report module of the Command Automated Publishing System (CAPS). "We are very pleased to have someone with Pete’s background join us to spearhead our effort in shareholder report automation. S-CAPS, our shareholder report module of the Command Automated Publishing System, will address the challenges associated with the increased complexity and frequency of shareholder report and portfolio filings" commented James Penders, President of Command Financial.
Mr. McCabe comes to Command with more than 10 years in the investment company industry, including 6 years at The Managers Funds (now part of Managers Investment Group) and 3 years at BlackRock. "Based on my past experience in the automation of workflow, especially in the production of shareholder reporting, and Command’s proven ability to develop and delivery automation solutions for the investment company industry, such as the prospectus module of CAPS, I believe we will develop a financial reporting tool that will greatly reduce the effort and timing investment administration professionals spend on the production of shareholder reporting. In addition, I share Command’s philosophy that the best way to add value to our clients is to have a great understand of their workflow."
James Penders, president of Command Financial, added: "Our prospectus module of CAPS has been very well received by our clients and a large part of that was the end-user perspective and specific knowledge that Chris Murphy, an experienced ‘40 Act attorney, brought to the equation. We are taking a similar approach with shareholder reports by bringing in Pete McCabe, with his wealth of knowledge on the portfolio and financial reporting side. His coming on board to Command has been similarly well received by our clients in the investment company community and we look forward to launching our shareholder report module of CAPS in 2006."
